Privacy notice

How Alfred Personal Agents handles information.

Alfred is a private assistant system operated by its account owner. This notice covers the application and this informational website.

Information the application accesses

Alfred uses Google account identity to verify each connection. It can read selected Gmail messages, their metadata and text, and events from configured Google calendars. It can make calendar changes within permissions the owner grants. Google Pub/Sub carries mailbox-change notifications.

A separate Google Drive connection uploads encrypted backups and uses access limited to files used with that connection. The owner’s messages to the assistants, task state, source records, checkpoints, and relevant memory are also processed.

Purpose and sharing

Information is used to answer the owner’s requests, organize commitments, identify relevant changes, maintain task continuity, and restore the system when needed. Per-assistant permissions and source selections limit access.

Information needed for a task may be sent to Anthropic or OpenAI through the selected official Claude Code or Codex client. Messages and notifications sent through Telegram are processed by Telegram. These services have their own terms and account settings. Live Google-source processing remains disabled until the operator verifies suitable provider data controls, including restrictions on model training.

Alfred does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Alfred’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

Protected directories on the owner’s Mac hold local records, task state, and memory. Backup content is encrypted before upload to Google Drive. Credentials are kept outside ordinary source repositories and content indexes. Access is limited to the owner and people the owner authorizes to operate the system, subject to applicable Google data-use restrictions.

The owner manages record deletion and backup retention. No automatic retention period is enabled during setup. Stored records may remain until the owner removes them; encrypted snapshots retain their contents until those snapshots are deleted.

Owner controls

The owner can pause assistants, change source selections, revoke a connection in their Google Account settings, and request deletion of local records or backups from the operator. Revoking Google access stops future authorized access but does not delete previously stored copies.
